“Please Please Please,” written by James Brown and Johnny Terry, performed by Mr. Brown and The Famous Flames at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium for the  Teenage Awards Music International (TAMI) Show in 1964. His 1956 recording of the song was an R&B hit, and it became the closing number at all his concerts, complete with cape.
