“More than 250,000 people have signed up to attend a Facebook event planning a raid on Area 51 in southern Nevada to ‘see them aliens.’

According to the event, titled, “Storm Area 51, They Can’t Stop All of Us,” a group of alien hunters will meet at 3 a.m. on Sept. 20 near the top-secret U.SFrom there, the group will ‘Naruto run’ with their arms stretched behind them like Naruto Uzumaki in the Japanese anime series ‘Naruto,’ and therefore ‘move faster than their bullets.'”

Space Aliens Communicate With Earth. Maybe.

“Two Canadian astronomers published a study that claims an anomaly in the pulsing of a group of stars is possibly evidence of an alien civilization. ….

The scientists Ermanno Borra and Éric Trottier from the Université Laval in Quebec analyzed modulations in 2.5 million stars from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey project and concluded that 234 of them exhibited strange behavior. In fact, the stars seemed to be signaling, with the conceivable explanation that it’s aliens trying to make contact.”

French Town Upholds 62-Year-Old Ban on UFOs

The mayor of the French town of Châteauneuf-du-Pape has upheld a 62-year-old law banning UFOs.

The 1954 law was established after a man in northern France said he had seen two figures that looked like ‘deep sea divers’ emerging from a ‘cigar-shaped’ space ship.

But don’t make yourself a tin foil hat yet. Lucien Jeune’s son, Elie Jeune, has dismissed his father’s decree as a “publicity stunt”, telling reporters: ‘At that time, people were talking a lot about extraterrestrials and the unknown, it was in fashion, and there were loads of stories circulating.’

‘He wanted to make a bit of an advertisement for Châteauneuf. It was an excellent publicity stunt… and free.’ Journalists flocked to Châteauneuf-du-Pape from all over the world and, predictably, the public couldn’t get enough of the story.

“When Jimmy Kimmel asked Hillary Clinton in a late-night TV interview about U.F.O.s, she quickly corrected his terminology.

Hillary will Release All Secret Files — on UFOs

Clinton 2016 Campaign Chairman John Podesta told a Las Vegas interviewer that he has urged Hillary Clinton to declassify all government UFO files if elected, and the candidate is considering it. In fact, back in January Secretary Clinton herself told a New Hampshire reporter that Mr. Podesta “has made me personally pledge we are going to get the information out. One way or another. Maybe we could have, like, a task force to go to Area 51.” Extraterrestrials: we want them accounted for.

Why do otherwise serious politicos care about UFO sightings? The most-viewed declassified FBI document is the “Hottel Memo” about flying saucers.

Congress Versus Mars!

The House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology thinks NASA’s Journey to Mars initiative is lost in Space. “This is a misguided mission without a mission, without a launch date and without ties to exploration goals. It’s just a time-wasting distraction,” said committee chair Rep. Lamar Smith (R, TX-21) in hearings last week.

British Newspaper Issues Apology

Following last week’s publication of an article by Paul Sims reporting that flying saucers were seen to hover over British Scientology headquarters, The Sun newspaper issued this apology:

“In an article on Saturday headlined ‘Flying saucers over British Scientology HQ’, we stated ‘two flat silver discs’ were seen ‘above the Church of Scientology HQ’.

Following a letter from lawyers for the Church, we apologise to any alien lifeforms for linking them to Scientologists.”
