“Summertime Blues,” written by Eddie Cochran and Jerry Capehart, recorded in 1958. Eddie Cochran (vocals, guitars, hand claps), Connie ‘Guybo’ Smith (electric bass), and Earl Palmer (drums). Rumor has it that Mr. Cochran’s fiancée Sharon Sheeley added some of the clapping.
