Disgraced former Food Network star Paula Deen tried to make her comeback with an online video network last year, but no one noticed. Now the 68-year-old is trying the last hope of has-been celebs, appearing as a contestant on Dancing with the Stars. We hear her moves are smooth as butter.

Flamenco Flash Mobs Strike Spain’s Banks

Financial institutions across Andalusia are under percussive attack from Flamenco Flash Mobs. Guerilla performances of these indignados flamencos are political demonstrations, expressions of anger and frustration at the Spanish economic crisis. Like this performance in a branch of Bankia, they’re choreographed by the anti-capitalist group Flo6x8.

UK: ‘One in Four Lap Dancers Has a Degree’

A study has found that 25 percent of British lap dancers have a college degree.  The research by Dr Teela Sanders of the University of Leeds and Kate Hardy of Queen Mary College, University of London, is sumarized here. The BBC-TV discussion of the findings by Dr. Belinda Brooks-Gordon and a lap dance club owner (above) is more entertaining, though.

Toe the Line with Tank Man

Teik-Kim Pok shows you how to dance a tribute to Tank Man (the “Unknown Rebel”), choreographed by Jane McKernan. The Tank Man Tango dance event, produced by Deborah Kelly, is ocurring around the world to commemorate the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989.
