Kitty Wells, 1919 - 2012

Singer Kitty Wells (née Ellen Muriel Deason) died Monday at age 92. Her husband of 74 years, Johnny Wright of the duo Johnny & Jack, passed away last year. Ms. Wells, the Queen of Honky Tonk Street, was the first woman vocalist to have a solo hit record on the Country & Western music charts.
