Labor Day To-Do List

Labor Day To-Do List

Happy Labor Day. Now that September is upon us, remember:

1. The 2019 NFL season starts Thursday, September 5th. Get snacks & beer.

2. Air out woolens.

3. Buy leaf bags.

4. Do not wear white shoes after September 2nd.
Persons in the continental United States wearing white shoes past that date are assumed to be illegal aliens from the Southern Hemisphere, and will be treated accordingly. You have been warned.

Autumn Driving is Here!

October 4, 2011

Autumn Driving is Here!

Fall driving season is here. That means admiring colorful foliage and colliding with frisky deer. The downside: the average car-deer collision auto repair bill is $3,171. On the other hand, you get a heap of fresh venison, for free.

You’re most likely to run into a deer in Wild and Wonderful West Virginia. Chances are 1 in 53, much better than the odds at West Virginia casinos. Compare the rates in your state here.
