Sharon Angle: Want Answers? Elect Me First.

Once again, Nevada Republican Sharron Angle has demonstrated her unique grasp of the issues and the electoral process. When Las Vegas reporter Nathan Baca asked her about national security policy and a Nevada military base, she replied: “I’ll answer those questions when I’m the Senator.”

Mrs. Angle also added this bit of foreign policy wisdom: “You know, the two wars that we’re in right now is exactly what we’re in.”

Sharron Angle Defends US From Muslim Invasion!

“… we’re talking about a militant terrorist situation, which I believe it isn’t a widespread thing, but it is enough that we need to address, and we have been addressing it.”

“My thoughts are these, first of all, Dearborn, Michigan, and Frankford, Texas are on American soil, and under constitutional law. Not Sharia law. And I don’t know how that happened in the United States. It seems to me there is something fundamentally wrong with allowing a foreign system of law to even take hold in any municipality or government situation in our United States.”

Acute Angle

In Nevada’s recent Republican primary, Tea Party sweetheart Sharron Angle played chicken with Sue Lowden and won the senatorial candidacy. When Ms. Angle visited Washington to meet with RNC chief Michael Steele and other GOP leaders. She avoided the press but made news anyway, as colorful aspects of her biography become known.

Ms. Angle, a former Democrat, was once a member of the Independent American Party, “a Protestant Christian theocratic political party” with affiliations to George Wallace and the Constitution Party. She is against water fluoridation and for armed insurrection.

Ms. Angle wants to de-regulate Big Oil and keep women in the kitchen. Christian Reconstructionists are raising funds for the candidate, who has promoted Scientologist programs in Nevada’s prisons. The candidate wants to “personalize” Social Security, “transitioning” it out of existence along with the VA, and seeks to abolish the Department of Education. She is — or is not — an Oath Keeper militia member, depending on when you ask her.

Sue Lowden's chickens come home to roost.

Sue Lowden, former state senator and state Republican Party chairwoman, lost the Nevada Republican senatorial primary to the toast of the Tea Party,  Sharron Angle, a former Nevada state assemblywoman. Ms. Angle bucked the trend in other states, where insiders won primary battles. but this was no ordinary race. Nevada is a conservative state with legal prostitution and gambling, the highest percentage of foreclosures in the nation, and massive unemployment. It also had Ms. Lowden, whose idea of health care reform is bartering chickens for medical services, and Ms. Angle, funded by the national Tea Party Express.
