Firm Behind Turning Point’s Teen Trolls Booted From Facebook

Firm Behind Turning Point's Teen Trolls Booted From Facebook

Right-wing youth indoctrination outfit Turning Point USA (known to us as Trump-Jugend) has been paying teenagers sub-minimum wages to fill social media platforms with attacks on Democratic candidates and disinformation about coronavirus. Twitter and Facebook noticed and shut down the adolescents’ accounts last month. Yesterday, Facebook removed more “inauthentic accounts”and banned Rally Forge, the political marketing firm that helped Turning Point’s Charlie Kirk turn out the teen trolls. Rally Forge is owned by Arizona Republican official Jake Hoffman, who is also behind a phantom campaign called “Navajos for Trump.”

Turning Point USA: Teen Trolls for Hire

Turning Point USA: Teen Trolls for Hire

Astoundingly, “on-shoring,” one of Donald Trump’s political promises, is happening. His 2020 campaign’s troll farms have moved from Russia to Arizona. A branch of right-wing youth indoctrination outfit Turning Point USA (known to us as Trump-Jugend) has been paying teenagers sub-minimum wages to fill social media platforms with attacks on Democratic candidates and disinformation about coronavirus. Twitter and Facebook finally noticed and shut down the teen accounts this week.

Turning Point Action, an arm of the nominally-nonprofit Turning Point USA, contracted right-wing social media company Rally Forge (get it?) to coordinate the teen trolls’ spamming. Funding may have flowed through shadow political action groups Turning Point PAC and/or RallyPAC. Turning Point USA, Turning Point Action, and Students for Trump are all headed by Charlie Kirk. Rally Forge and RallyPAC are both run by Jake Hoffman. Turning Point Action and Rally Forge are also behind a phantom campaign called “Navajos for Trump.”

“Pro-Trump youth group enlists teens in secretive campaign likened to a ‘troll farm,’ prompting rebuke by Facebook and Twitter,” Isaac Stanley-Becker, Washington Post

Trump Urges Election Fraud

September 4, 2020

Trump Urges Election Fraud

On Wednesday President Trump urged North Carolina voters to mail in a ballot and then go to the polls on Election Day and vote in person:

Voting twice in a general election is a felony, a federal crime under 52 USC §10307(e). This statute also seems to forbid suborning voter fraud, although White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany denies the president said what he said.

Trump Accepts 2020 Republican Abdication

August 28, 2020

Trump Accepts 2020 Republican Abdication

In an interminable speech late on Thursday, delivered in front of his public housing project, Donald J. Trump accepted the abject abdication of the Republican Party, formerly known as the Party of Lincoln. During his 70-minute address Mr. Trump shared a lie every three minutes, visions of American armageddon, and an incurable virus with his packed, maskless audience. In a novel coronavirus twist, the incumbent is running as a challenger, blaming his own three-and-a-half years of failure on his political opponent.

The event was celebrated by fireworks at another federal property, as citizens frolicked in the streets:

Voting By Mail, 2020

August 18, 2020

Voting By Mail, 2020 (Back)

Americans have been voting by mail since the Civil War, and faith in the postal system has buttressed our faith in democracy. The U.S. Postal Service has efficiently delivered billions of cards, letters and packages every Christmas season, but the last few months have seen an erosion of some of the resources that have made that possible. Many more Americans are expected to vote by mail this year due to the pandemic, and they’ll need to request ballot forms and mail in their ballots as soon as possible to insure their participation in the 2020 election.

Help your friends who’ll be away from home or have health concerns to vote by mail by sending them reminder postcards (sample text for a North Carolina voter living in DC is provided above). Do it real soon, because someone is delaying the mail.

What should the front of the postcard look like? Maybe something like this:

GOP’s Kanye Spoiler Campaign May Backfire

August 13, 2020

GOP's Kanye Spoiler Campaign May Backfire

Republicans have been supporting the 2020 presidential campaign of rapper Kanye West in an attempt to split the Black vote, to the disadvantage of the Democratic ticket. There are reports of a meeting between Trump’s Secretary of Everything and son-in-law Jared Kushner and Yeezy, and the two are said to be frequent chat buddies. At least two people involved in Kanye’s campaign are Republican operatives.

Mr. West’s campaign seems to have little traction with Black voters, and may actually harm the Trump campaign by siphoning off the votes of the mentally ill.
