Mrs. Obama, The Ellipse, and Ultimate Frisbee

White House Soup

White House Soup

President Obama was in Chicago this week; Mrs. Obama was in Spain. Perhaps the President ate the Spring Pea Bisque at the Graham Elliot restaurant; maybe the Missus had a nice healthy gazpacho in Marbella

The staff at the Executive Mansion back in Washington has access to Mrs. Obama’s organic vegetable garden. What was the White House Soup of the Day on Thursday? Chili.

Obama’s Ward 8 Easter

April 4, 2010

Obama's Ward 8 Easter

President Barack Obama and his family attended Easter Sunday services at Allen Chapel AME Church in Southeast Washington’s Ward 8 today. The church is a few blocks from a place the President should visit on Monday: the city’s One-Stop Employment Center at 2626A Naylor Road SE (behind AutoZone).  Ward 8 has a 28 percent unemployment rate.

Allen Chapel distributes food to the needy every Friday and every other Wednesday at Outreach House (2443 Ainger Place). Maybe Mrs. Obama could bring over some produce from the White House Vegetable Garden.

Michelle’s Dress

Michelle's Dress

Remember before the election, when McCain said Obama was over-confident, and was already picking out the White House drapes?

Michelle decided to wear them Tuesday night.

Hey, just funnin.’ The dress is by the great Narciso Rodriguez, one of the most famous designers in all New Jersey. The dress has raised a few eyebrows, though:
