Happy Birthday Alice Rivlin

April 15th is a landmark date because . . . that’s right! It’s the birthday of Kim Il-sung, Eternal President of the People’s Republic of North Korea (although he’s been dead since 1972).

It’s also the date the Titanic sank (1912), President Lincoln was shot (1865), Franklin D. Roosevelt was buried (1945), Ray Kroc started McDonald’s (1955), Howard Stern began his radio show (1997), the Washington Post returned Janet Cooke’s Pulitzer (1981), and billionaire Leona Helmsly went to jail for tax evasion (1992). Oh, that reminds me: the IRS is just dying to hear from you.
