Preservationist Judge Saves Super-Sized Sodas in New York

“A New York State Supreme Court judge has halted the new regulation banning sugary drinks larger than 16 ounces, which was supposed to take effect Tuesday. He described the law as ‘arbitrary,’ questioning whether it would actually lead to the intended decline in obesity rates.”

Blood-Thirsty Beast Bites Bloomberg

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg appeared at the Staten Island Zoo on Monday, Groundhog Day. The Mayor was assisting resident meteorologist Charles G. Hogg (“Staten Island Chuck”) with his winter weather forecast when the rodent went rogue and bit him.

According to the Staten Island Advance, the zoo was also holding a Blood Drive.
