Dizzy Dishes

“Dizzy Dishes,” a 1930 theatrical cartoon by Fleischer Studios.  It features a prototype Betty Boop as the puppy-love interest of Bimbo the Dog. Directed by Dave Fleischer; animation by Grim Natwick and Ted Sears. Voice actors: William Costello (Gus Gorilla), Billy Murray (Bimbo), Margie Hines, (Betty Boop, singing cats). Includes the songs “Hot-Cha-Cha” (written by Phil Boutelje with lyrics by Rubey Cowan), “I Have to Have You” (written by Richard A. Whiting, lyrics by Leo Robin), and “Never Say Die” (wriiten by Newell Chase, lyrics by Leo Robin).
