Voice actors were uncredited.
Merrie Melodie cartoons were sort of early music videos, and each featured a contemporary hit. The title song, written by Max Rich, Charles O’Flynn and Jack Meskill, was red hot in the depression year of 1931, and was recorded by many artists, includng Al Bowlly, Billy Cotton, Jay Wilbur and his Band, Snooks & His Memphis Stompers, Ben Selvin & the Sunshine Boys, Joe Morgan and his Palais D’or Orchestra – all your faves!
