British/American stand-up comedian, cricketer, and former London Lord Mayor Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson (Boris Johnson) is now a minister in the cabinet of new UK PM Theresa May. What portfolio does one select for a politician who insulted nations, races, and leaders of governments all over the Continent and the world? Foreign Secretary, the nation’s chief diplomat.
Le Monde views Mr. Johnson as “a Monty Python-style politician who appears to avoid taking things seriously,” but the Guardian says he’s no joke at all.
So how did Mr. Johnson do at his first press conference? A complete Horlicks (big mess).
