‘I Want to Come Home for Christmas’

“I Want to Come Home for Christmas,” written by Forrest Hairston and Marvin Gaye, sung by Ne-Yo (Shaffer Chimere Smith), from the soundtrack of  Malcolm D. Lee‘s 2013 film “The Best Man Holiday.” It was originally recorded by Marvin Gaye in 1972 as an R&B Christmas song about the Vietnam conflict, the only one written from the POW point-of-view, but it was not released until after Mr. Gaye’s death.
