Signs & Portents

Signs & Portents

Here’s the word on the street about the government shutdown. Yesterday the vendors of Havana Banana Breads chalked an open letter to Members of Congress. The message may have reached them; the sign was at Eastern Market on Capitol Hill. The bakery’s owner is a service-disabled veteran.

De-fund Congress and give us back that money. The American People will sue the government for all lost wages and everything they took from us that they gave to the banks, insurance and car people. And as part of the settlement Congress will have to endure the same health care that we have.
