Celebrate Frida With Food in DC

Celebrate Frida With Food in DC
Mexican painter and activist Frida Kahlo de Rivera (1907-1954) was born on July 6th and died on July 13th. Washington restaurant Oyamel Cocina Mexicana (401 Seventh Street NW) is celebrating that week (i.e., this week) with a special menu commemorating the artist. The selections are said to be those “that Frida served for her birthday party thrown at her house ‘La Casa Azul’ in Coyoacán.” See the menu here.
