The Capitol Hill outpost of Florence’s Acqua al Due restaurant opens this weekend, though you wouldn’t know it from the eatery’s website[Update: the website is now live]. We learned about it from UrbanDaddy.com, which has a tasty slide show of the A al 2 interior.
Restoration of nearby Eastern Market and related street improvements may have delayed construction work on the restaurant, which began back in 2008. It’s been a while, and the neighbors are restless. And hungry.

Acqua al due DC….as advertised, so much like its sister restaurant in Florence–mediocre and best left to tourists.
