Mexican Space Patrol

Laura Martinez informs us that Mexico’s Cámara de Diputados officially approved AEXA, the Mexican Space Agency (Agencia Espacial Mexicana) last week. Supporters included two space contractors and former NASA astronaut José Moreno Hernández. Chewy Pulido provides an artist’s concept of the first Mexican spaceship.

Is AEXA technology up to date? ¡Por supuesto! The agency is on Twitter (so is Sr. Hernández).

AEXA may soon soar through the cosmos, but its ships should avoid Arizona (like everyone else). Will la Migra let Mexican spaceships land at Bill Richardson’s Spaceport America? Attention space cadets! Stay tuned to Spaceport Control on Twitter.
