Women by Women, an exhibit by Women Photojournalists of Washington (WPOW) opens at Sewall-Belmont House on Thursday, September 25, 2008, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. RSVP: rsvp@sewallbelmont.org
The exhibit was curated by Ken Geiger, National Geographic Senior Editor, and MaryAnne Golon, Consulting Editor at Time Magazine. Capitol Hill’s Sewall-Belmont House and Museum is the former home of suffragist leader Alice Paul (1885 – 1977) and the National Woman’s Party.
WPOW brings together professional female photojournalists in the Washington D.C. area as colleagues and friends, and meets quarterly to discuss issues in photojournalism and share work, ideas and camaraderie.
