The Supreme Court of the Unites States has failed to issue an opinion on District of Columbia v. Heller today, as expected. Either Justice Scalia is a very slow writer or members of the Court still cannot decide which sections of the DC firearms laws should stand and which need revision.
Justices undoubtedly have urgent golf and fly-fishing plans for next week, so the decision will be tomorrow, Thursday, last day of the term. Given the controversy, maybe the justices will leave their gun law opinions on the court steps in the wee hours on Friday and run.
Image: Cabela’s, the great fly-fishing outfitter. I have heard of fish shooting the rapids, but shooting back seems rather unsporting.
