 Bo Diddley 1928 -- 2008

Bo Diddley, born Ellas Bates, known as Ellas B. McDaniel,  passed away June 2, 2008.

The Washington, DC Rhythm and Blues scene rocked to the “Bo Diddley Beat” in the 1960s, when Bo lived at 2614 Rhode Island Ave. NE. Bo hired local musicians for his road bands, and recorded Bo Diddley is a Gunslinger in his basement.
