CIA Tapes – Rewind

Congressman Henry Waxman (D-CA), Chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, has asked the National Archives to determine whether destruction of interrogation videotapes by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) violated the Federal Records Act.

Mr. Waxman also requested information on the CIA’s management of federal records, obtained when the Archives inspected the CIA records management system in 2000.
