A much-publicized report on the danger of vinyl shower curtains failed to show that shower curtains released harmful phthalates, notes Annys Shin in Washingtonpost.com’s The Checkout blog. Why not? Not enough funding to test for that, says the organization that released the report. So why release an incomplete “scare” report? Congressional subcommittee hearings on the topic were last week.
Washington; you gotta love it.
