It’s spring, and I was hoping to embed the Cherry Blossom Web Cam from Washington’s Tidal Basin here, but the link is still broken, and remains a fit subject for 21st century haiku.
I thought we might contemplate another traditional Japanese symbol, the crane (on the five-panel screen, above). I’ve seen lots of them in Southwest Washington, down by the river. I hear they have been thick over New York City, and some are flying.
